HPB event at the Health Hydro in Swindon

On Friday 27 February 2026 we will be hosting an event at Swindon’s famous Health Hydro.  This promises to be a very special day, with the opportunity to delve into the history of this visionary concept, built in 1891 for the Great Western Railway (GWR) Medical Fund Society, and to hear from those involved in its regeneration.

It will be an immersive day of exploration, which is taking place shortly after the completion of Phase 1 of works.  Guests will be able to see the progress to date and enjoy a hard hat tour that takes them behind the scenes of what is still to come.

To appreciate the wider historical context, there will also be a walking tour of the surrounding area, taking in some of the other significant sites including the Carriage Works, Railway Village and Mechanics’ Institute, and Emlyn Square.
