HPB pool membership news

Covid-19 has created an unprecedented situation for everyone and the impact from the arising challenges will be felt for some time to come.  As a result, there has never been a more important time for the collective power and connectivity of Historic Pools of Britain (HPB), but we know that our pool members are facing particularly difficult times and want to do what we can to offer our support. Today (13 May 2020) we are writing individually to all existing pool members to offer a free 3 month membership extension, during which time we’ll continue to provide all the ongoing membership benefits of being a part of HPB.

Gill Wright, founder of Historic Pools of Britain, says, “We’ve taken this step to try and ensure that we are here for our members and to try and relieve some of the financial pressure that has resulted from the lockdown which has affected swimming pools so critically. The free membership extension is a small measure, but as a volunteer-led organisation, a very heartfelt gesture. And of course, we continue to welcome new pool members, who we’d love to see taking their place on the Historic Pools map.”

Like all organisations, HPB is facing its own challenges due to the impact of Covid-19. However, the successful launch of HPB individual membership, which took place at the beginning of March, is providing incredibly important additional support.

Thank you to all those who have joined the Historic Pools family; your support is extremely valued. If you’d like to find out more about getting involved, and the benefits you can also enjoy, you’ll find all the details here.
