Victoria Baths welcomes Anthony Baker as CEO

Victoria Baths has announced Anthony Baker as its new CEO.  Anthony brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to the role, having worked in leadership roles within the arts and cultural sector for over 20 years.

Anthony follows in the footsteps of Elizabeth Sibbering (Sibby) who retired from the role of Managing Director this summer having spent 10 years at Victoria Baths.  During this time she has overseen significant milestones in the journey towards securing the future of Victoria Baths and in establishing its position as one of Manchester’s most treasured cultural and heritage attractions.  Sibby has also been a supporter and contributor to HPB, with Victoria Baths having been one of the founder members of the organisation.

Anthony joins Victoria Baths at an important time; despite amazing filming credits – including Peaky Blinders, It’s a Sin and Life on Mars – and events of international magnitude that take place the building remains on Historic England’s ‘Heritage at Risk’ register.  Part of his role will be overseeing its next stage of improvement works so that Victoria Baths can continue to play an important role in Manchester’s cultural and community life.
